Terms of Service

Last updated 31 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Poor Devs OÜ (Estonian registry code 16909250) ("we", "us") for the use of farcrew — the web console, the apps, and the daemon you install on your own machines. By creating an account you accept them.

What the service does

farcrew relays a terminal session between a machine you control and a client you are signed in to, and notifies you when a session wants your attention. Your machines, the programs you run on them and everything those programs do remain yours and your responsibility. We provide the connection, not the compute.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, for keeping your password and passkeys safe, and for the recovery codes you were given at enrolment. Because your terminal content and your saved workspaces are encrypted with keys we do not hold, a lost password may mean data that cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. One person, one account: do not share credentials.

Subscription and payment

farcrew is a paid subscription: $10 per month or $100 per year, taken through Stripe. Pairing machines and opening terminals require an active subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — the service keeps working until then. Manage or cancel it from the billing portal in Settings, or wherever you signed up. Prices may change; we will tell you before a change applies to a renewal of yours. Except where the law gives you a refund right, payments are not refundable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use farcrew to:

  • reach a machine you are not authorised to control;
  • break the law, or infringe someone else's rights;
  • attack, overload or probe the service or the networks it runs on;
  • resell or relay the service to third parties as if it were your own; or
  • work around the limits, the paywall or the security of the service.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

Port previews

A preview publishes a port from your machine on a secret URL, in the clear. Anyone holding that URL can reach it. You choose what to expose and for how long; delete the preview to close it.

Availability

We work to keep farcrew up but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.

Liability

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost or unrecoverable data; and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription, or delete the account from Settings, which removes your machines, passkeys, sessions and saved workspaces and cannot be undone. We may end this agreement if you break these terms, or on reasonable notice if we stop offering the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the console before they take effect; continuing to use farcrew after that means you accept them.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Estonia, and its courts have jurisdiction — without taking away any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in. Questions go to support@farcrew.app.
